The private, peaceful and gated Windermere Island sits off the Atlantic coast of Eleuthera near the settlement of Savannah Sound in central Eleuthera. Windermere is accessed by a guarded bridge, and entrée is limited to residents and their guests. The island is 5 miles long and has a beautiful wide pink sand beach running its entire length. On the west side of the island, West Beach fronts the quiet waters of Savannah Sound.

There are no shops or hotel or guest house accommodations on Windermere, though some residents rent their homes to the public. Properties for rent range in size from one-bedroom suites to large villas. A resident’s private club, The Club at Windermere, is open seasonally.
